Pandamation is a website for making GIFs for a Panda Knomi. The Pandamation Knomi Push extension sends a finished GIF from that website to a Knomi on your local network. Both are provided by TechJeeper Designs.
The website
When you use pandamation.techjeeper.com, this is what happens to information:
- Files you upload are sent to the Pandamation server so it can make the GIF. The upload and the finished GIF are kept only long enough to finish that job, and files in the temporary folders are deleted after about an hour.
- A Tenor search sends your search words to the Pandamation server, which asks Tenor for results. If you pick a GIF, the server downloads that GIF into the same temporary storage. Tenor’s handling of the request is covered by Google’s privacy policy.
- The site stores a few settings in your browser: the Knomi address you enter, the preview device you pick, and whether you have finished the tour. Those stay on your device. Clearing site data for this site removes them.
- The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and downloads. Google receives usage data such as pages viewed, a general location, and device information. That measurement is described in Google’s privacy policy.
- The Buy a Knomi link is an affiliate link. The merchant can tell that the visit came from this site. Pandamation does not receive your payment details.
Pandamation has no accounts. It does not ask for your name, email address, or payment information.
The Chrome extension
Pandamation Knomi Push has one job: send a finished GIF from Pandamation to a Knomi on your local network.
- The extension receives the GIF, the Knomi address, and the screen name from the Pandamation page when you choose Process and Push.
- It sends that GIF only to the address you entered, and only when that address is a private IP or a
.local hostname. The request goes to your Knomi on your network.
- The extension does not send the GIF or the Knomi address to TechJeeper Designs or to any other server.
- The extension does not store the GIF or the address. All of its code is included in the extension package. It does not download or run code from the internet.
Chrome shows a site-access permission because each Knomi has its own address, and that address is chosen when you push. The extension uses that permission to reach the Knomi you name, and to run on pandamation.techjeeper.com so the page can hand it the GIF.
What we do with data
TechJeeper Designs uses website measurements to understand how Pandamation is used, and uses uploaded files only to make the GIF you asked for. We do not sell personal information. We do not use information to decide creditworthiness or for lending. We do not use the GIF or the Knomi address for anything other than making and delivering that GIF.
Children
Pandamation is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
